In Silence

3amMemories

I am but a whisper.

Small whisps of air gathered

Between frightened lips,

Trying to be overheard

Through thunderstorms

And heartbeats.

I hear the wind carries,

But some feelings are just

Heavy.

Sometimes those feelings need expressing and the heaviness can be put onto paper and make you feel lighter.

    Welcome to MPS.

Some words if spoken might hurt
    But if carried might scar
Loose them on sheet of yours
    Let them be free
So you can let go the burden you have been carrying
    Well penned dear poet
    Keep writing and sharing

'it may be the first time
    I'm reading, these words
    but I recognise
    their unassuming, depth's:
    intimately..'
thank you! for choosing to share
    and for wording your poetry
    so accessibly, relatable

And sometimes words unspoken carry more weight.

  • Nicholas Browning

There have been times in my life where I've felt a similar way. But I ended up here, and I wouldn't change it for anything. Some things are better left unsaid, but I suppose there's no real way to prove that until we say them. I very much enjoyed the read, and I wish you the best.
