and barefoot
stroll upon midnight past
where cast of moon
haunts broken glass
over ragged weave
to bare-board low
tread the path
of one more sorrow

I got the image of a run-down shack in the middle of a distant dirt path somewhere in Japan. A lonely traveler with a mission on his mind leaves its sanctuary and presses onward, clutching his sword with a purpose.
Sign of a good read. Nicely done, Dusk.
sadly ... they just dont get much better than this .. N
To me it sounds as if an abandoned person
One who despite all opposition stands up to walk against the winds
Facing the storm in his own excursion
He walks despite covered in wounds
It’s kind of inspiring in a way
Though he is sad but his courage holds strong
Very strong and emotive poetry
Well played with the words
yes such a tale of meeting sorrow with slow steps of short-line tempo this has to be one of your best my friend.
Very emotive words d a, great write.

It leaves a residue hey. It does, in its mystery of sorts. I am moved, writer. I felt it.
