upon midnight

dusk arising

 

 

and barefoot
stroll upon midnight past
where cast of moon
haunts broken glass
over ragged weave
to bare-board low
tread the path
of one more sorrow

    I got the image of a run-down shack in the middle of a distant dirt path somewhere in Japan. A lonely traveler with a mission on his mind leaves its sanctuary and presses onward, clutching his sword with a purpose.

    To me it sounds as if an abandoned person
    One who despite all opposition stands up to walk against the winds
    Facing the storm in his own excursion
    He walks despite covered in wounds
    It’s kind of inspiring in a way
    Though he is sad but his courage holds strong
    Very strong and emotive poetry
