Sunday Shores.
Tightly roped in one-day harboured
retreat boats quietly steer in
to Sunday shores.
Like me the cold-caught stored cargo
staves off de-scaling and lies in
as Sunday yawns.

So true Sunday is a sigh of relief after running for a week
Though for some even Sunday doesn’t bring respite
Mothers are seen working even on weekdays time
Beautiful expression dear Fay
Agreed dear friend that Sunday rest is fast disappearing - - thanks so much for your thoughts on the subject after reading Sunday Shores.
Sundays are when your muse recharges her batteries I imagine here. Had to read this several times as i thought you were describing ypurself as cold-caught stored cargo.... which i couldn't settle with LOL
Oooh sorry my second stanza was able to read more than one way dear Dusk - I assure you that I was not in that fishy hold when I wrote the piece but having a lie in cos it was Sunday........ bless you for reading the verse over again to get its meaning - - so pleased you dropped by and for the comment
This is superb Fay ... I could read it over and over and not find any fault .. and my word, I could just stare at it for ages ... in fact, I have done both .. x
Hey - its great that you enjoyed the six liner so much and didn't think I was the fish in the cold-caught stored cargo. I had moved that line about quite a few times - - but poor Dusk got caught (and am still tryning not to giggle) - - for your luverly review thank you a million our Nev
Memories: Sunday certainly differed from every other day of the week during a very much earlier part of my life. As a kid, In the big city everyone was home and house redecorating was in full swing..
The Sunday you portray brings back memories of a seaside holiday. Something I loved.
Thanks for that, Fay.
Am grateful the read brought back young memories which gave your Sundays a specialness Dave - -- great to have your comment on Sunday Shores - - thanks a load for dropping by.
May that lay-in always bring peace to you Fay.
Andy
You are so thoughtful and kind dear Andy - having a bit of a lie in was a gift for many in days gone by.
