A Promenade in Twilight

PS

Gliding along the stone steps of the walkway

Leaping and bouncing here and away

Marvelling the beauty of the crescent moon

Hiding at times and sneaking out very soon

Stars shining bright like lanterns in the sky

Lighting up every path as they pass by

Twinkling near and far in the darkness of night

Reminding us now and then that life is so bright

A little boat swaying lightly in the breeze

The birds fly past for its time to retreat

A calming quiet settling upon the night

Wish it lasts forever...this promenade in twilight!

Your words capture the feeling of dusk and how walking in twilight brings us closer to nature. A lovely first posting and welcome P.S. to this friendly site. Keep the ink flowing.

Some of life's small pleasures are to wish for as everlasting delights. Here you've pictured well some highlights of a twighlight stroll.... a favourite time of day for me as dusk arises.
