Looking.

Goldfinch60

In all our lives we keep on looking,

Looking for those many things

That we feel we need.

The search goes on and on,

Those things we want

Never seem to be there.

But what we need to realise

Is that it is important  that we look

We look at what we’ve got,

What we have got in our lives,

And not at what we haven’t.

And what we have achieved in overcoming all those bricks that life threw our way..... How we as elders take pride in being what we have become.... How we have the wherewithall to accept what is ahead for us...

              Amen!
              (look at the warmth
              in your home, before
              gazing, wishfully
              upon those greener mirages
              at your double glazed
              and rain stained, window)

                Very true Mek. Thank you.

Your right …. But I think that if and when we go through difficult things , it’s then that we want the more … sadness trauma , for example we know we deserve more than that . And because we are in pain , we want the ‘ more ‘ … always something to be grateful for tho

                    Nice poem anyhow )

Life can be that way but I have come through the passing of my wife and the way I look at it this way, when we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind.
