Tune: Monks Gate
('He who would valiant be')
Psalm 28 v.7-9
*********
The LORD is my strength, shield
To Him I will yield
My heart in Him trusted
He guided me, led
And so I am helped sure
Therefore my heart shall more
Greatly rejoice, for He
Came to my aid free
With my song I will praise
Him, and worship raise
The LORD is our strength, He
The saving strength be
Of His anointed one
Christ Jesus, His own Son
Salvation He does bring
Let joyful sounds ring
Save your people, LORD, bless
Us here now, no less
We your inheritance
Are, and we you sense
Feed us also, and lift
Us up, give us your gift
Of your Spirit for e'er
In Him all may share
