You found my fuming ashes

anna_noday

You found my fuming ashes

When you wandered in the woods,

You built me up, cherished my flame –

You were the picture, I was the frame –

I kept you warm in my arm',

I almost burned you, but you were calm.

I anchored you for a while,

Until you thought my fire cooled down,

And then you just walked away –

I was a stop before your bay.

    penetrating imagery, well written
    thanks for sharing
(and I'm sorry if you feel I'm just 'saying' things,
and that my comments on your work, lack integrity
at the very least, try to believe
    I mean well)
