Winter's Song

AnAlpaca

Cold wind, gray sky,
A snowflake floats by.
Land locked in winter's grip,
I think I'll take a trip.
Out to the fields I go,
Stomping though the snow.
Cold breeze,
I sneeze.
Mist tumbles from my mouth,
I think I'll soon move south!
Reach down, grab some snow,
Feel that chilly wind blow.
A snowball is made,
An idea laid.
Start with a wide base,
Smaller middle; smallest face.
Stone for smile and eyes,
Under darkening skies.
Now I'll add sticks,
Into the mix.
Scarf and hat, it's done,
I admit, that was fun!
Winter's chill,
Saps my will.
I flee the cold air,
To warm fires there.
More snow begins to fall,
My snowman stands tall.
I open my door, gain entry,
My guardian stands sentry.
I warm myself by the fire,
And wait for winter to expire.

Thank you. I wanted to show that while winter is chilly, sometimes it can be fun and beautiful, too.
