We Never Know.

Goldfinch60

They sit there in their ivory towers

Planning how to get more money,

How to get more power,

To get us minions to suffer

While they live in comfort.

They set out a road,

A road which we are supposed to follow

So that any rewards come back to them

As we travel that road,

No thought as to the wellbeing of us

Us who do all the work and toil,

As we suffer walking that path.

But we can change our lives.

We never know what they are planning,

Which path they are planning for us.

So we must move,

Move along a different path,

Knowing that that is the way,

The way for us to go,

The way for us to go who care.

Some people are very selfish and are just about greed and money . We should live as we wish .., or atleast feel we can .

    A good writing )

      True yellowrose. Thank you

Well 'they' don't live in the same world as we do. Their descisions for us minions don't effect them in their higher social-economic groupings.

As you say, we can always ammend aspects of our lives. Sometimes the necessity for change is thrust upon us for all sorts of reasons and I am thankful that, so far in life, I have been able to make changes and cope with their necessity. Wherever possible seeking out the positive aspect of any change.
Too many moan and groaners who seem opposed to change. Example is the idiots who wont accept covid injections.

Such true words d a. At our age we have managed to arrive where we are in our own way and not been drawn in to the wiles of the world 'they' want for us.

True that. Being the little guy has its limits. We just need to hope we don't turn into them if we make it that far. An insightful write Andy.

        • Goldfinch60

We care Nicholas so we would not turn into them. Thank you.

It's those 'they' who are greedy - whoever they are. They must have names. They can't just be faceless or anonymous.
Did 'they' say to me 'Don't turn up in 1066'? But I did!

          • Goldfinch60

Many of them are faceless Orchi, but many we know and can do nothing about it - yet.

So true and seems to me they are winning. When I think about it, just about everything going wrong with the earth is about greed.

            • Goldfinch60

Very true Lorna, greed is certainly the problem - as it always is.

If the measure of success is monetary/possessive wealth, and achievement by whatever means, then the debate becomes redundant.
Show me a person of humble means who understands and lives as one with nature and I will surely follow.
              Thanks

True Suresh. Living at one with nature could be so wonderful.

                So well stated
The struggle of proletariats and the rule of capitalists
                The money kept dividing us
We wishEd to rise but who knew we were always deprived
                They played with our mind
                And alas we never realised
What did the heart want inside
A powerful depiction of socio-economic state of world

Thank you spilleronsheet, you are so right.

tis an absolute certainty, so it is ... an absolute social injustice perpetuated by the already significantly better off

                  • Goldfinch60

                    So very true Neville.

Some puppets on a string we are. Talks of a new world order are heard sporadically, but nothing ever happens. Far too few control far too many.

                    • Goldfinch60

Very true Garth and those that are in control only care about themselves and not the others in this world.
