Nigh

Eugene S.

The twighlight period just before night
An in-between place that I so revere

When the lights start glowing upon the street
And anxiousness fills listless air

Where the allure of shadows and unlit spaces
Create a beguiling atmosphere

It is here I will find inception
Evening's mystical premiere

Thank you for reading. I was trying to relate somehow a feeling I sometimes get at that time of day. That's as close as I can get.

I think you've conveyed that very well. 🙂 I too get a similar feeling at that time of day!

May that premiere lead you into the wonder of the night time.

a wonderful showcasing of technical prowess,
succinct wording with such melancholic depth..

You took a picture of twilight's soul with your words there, fellow writer. An umistakable depiction. Compelling, with strong imagery that stays long after the reading is done. Master craftsmanship.
