yeardrops

dusk arising

thoughts are easy,
thoughts are just the easy part
we are thinking beings after all
but what does it all mean
when surprises come at you
out of the dark
bringing back something
you thought had been put away,
something taken from you
lost a long, long time ago along the way
a part of you that died
doing something that you loved
oh that lost time is never found again
and so you sit, telling yourself
you don't need loving  arms
but who are you trying to kid
for so long, maybe too long
so scared to be hurt again
you hide away
putting it all away
for something else to do
like watching movies
and trying
to wash those yeardrops away

Lovely writing ) maybe you could also comfort yourself with your caring arms ( self love ) but yes , everyone needs someone else’s loving arms , at times

          A lovely read Dusk
          Another magnificent work
Where you capture the emotions of every soul
That’s the feel when you get
One day you realise is it too late
          Good one dear dusk

          • dusk arising

Yes i guess i tapped into the probability that we all have lost something of ourselves along the way when we've achieved a few yeqrs under our belt. Thank you spiller.

The mind never forgets, and as you say, things just pop into your head.
Might be a message to embrace life and get back out there.

            • dusk arising

These memories can be activated by all sorts of things, maybe as I mentioned, stirred by something in a movie.

              • Fay Slimm.

Filled with emotion this reflection of how need can be resurrected strikes home dear Dusk - "scared to be hurt again" is the scourge of those waiting too long to begin again loving again. A penning to save in my faves - and by the way I love the word "yeardrops"

                • dusk arising

Yep, this speaks of being surprised with the revival of buried emotions, not always a pleasant experience. Pleased to be in your favourites. I couldn't resist trying out that word.... a clear double meaning of course.

Good reflections unfortunately we all leave this world damaged by life having bits of ourselves ripped out
