Fear of crossing any road
I could become a flattened toad
Fear of walking on the bridge
I freeze like ice inside a fridge
Fear of getting in the pool
I turn into a drooling fool
Fear of flying in a plane
Not much safer on a train
Fear of walking on my own
I see shadows moan and groan
Safest place is in the home
Turn into the garden gnome!

Strangely enough, I think most people do die in the home. This requires another stanza.
I'm in my home.
But am I alone.
Yes, cardiovascular deaths and during the pandemic Covid deaths too.
Here's my last stanza:
Oh help! I'm in my bedroom
Facing me is my long dead groom!!
The End.....
I maybe wrong, but I don't think you're missing him.
Haha, no.
Safest here upon my sofa.
Goodness me, I've become a Gopher!
I like it and could not help but join in.
Thank you. And I've learnt another new word, thanks!
It’s funny
Yet so sad
The protagonist is paranoid
Much is what at times we live
We lurk for a secure life never taking risk
Living in shadows of fear
Most of the times I guess I too lived
But then is it facade
Life is adventure, a true roller coaster
Well penned dear Rozina
You placed the heart’s fear on the sheet
Thank you for your comments. I am learning many things, not just poetry since I joined this site. Good night.
Absolutely adorable and I don't think ending up as the garden gnome would be so bad!
Thank you. As long as I don't look like Grumpy!
Good words Rozina, it is surprising how some things frighten people but not others.
May your home always calm your fears.
Andy
And yours too. Thank you.
I must confess, I really enjoyed my visit here … N 😎👍
