Verdant valleys
The hue of home
Shamrocks
Eyes peering
Beneath auburn hair
Bewitching twilight
In the glades
Soft moss in the shade
Arwen’s gown
Trailing through the ferns
Verdant valleys
The hue of home
Shamrocks
Eyes peering
Beneath auburn hair
Bewitching twilight
In the glades
Soft moss in the shade
Arwen’s gown
Trailing through the ferns

Green happens to be my favourite colour and nature happens to be my favourite thing so this is a complete win win. Love this poem Lorna
I just KNEW that! So it's yours.....
Lol.
The green of nature is so wonderful in our lives Lorna.
Andy
I know how much you love nature Andy and I'm with you! Green Peace to you.
Lorna,
What a great picture! (If you donāt mind, may I post it in my picture gallery?) It looks like the great Italian valley with my little villa I left a few years ago. I hope and pray that I will be able to go back there again one day.
A Beautifully penned poem.
Thank you for sharing.

Oh Laura! It's not my picture - found it free to copy on internet but like you found it so beautiful! How lucky you were to have lived there!
Good write Laura.
We've had enough in the UK of 'Storm Arwen' recently, what with naming of storms!
Was there really a Storm Arwen? Then a coincidence... but Arwen of the poem is very benign....
Yes - they name them if they are 'proper' storms. Glad to hear of your peaceful Arwen! lol.
Shamrock eyes nice choice of colour and pride for your heritage. Love the poem and the picture painted within your words
I have a little bit of Brennan in me but way back. Mostly Scottish and English and French so writing about Green just took me to the land of Brennan......thanks for liking!
a vacation escape, within words
thanks for sharing
Glad you like and it was free!
Your 'Colours' period, Lorna? I'll enjoy all of them - but will pester you to the end of time should you miss one out...
Evil? you have no idea....!
Sweet little write.
OK give them to me in order Dave! Let the games commence!
What, you think I'm going to hand you this on a plate, Lorna? You are living a dream...Evil hovers, waits.......
Thatās the beautiful greenery my eyes are looking for
Cause it gives me peace
On the green
Under the green
I can find me
Thanks dear Lorna for the wonderful colour
The colour filled with a new insight
Peace and thanks.
As always, beautifully descriptive. The contrast of green and auburn sets a lovely scene.
Thank you!
I'm an urbanite, but I do like the green, green grass that I usually fall into celebrating my useless team winning a game.
Embracing the grass is the best tribute....
The land of my love. Stuff holidays abroad.... give me leisure time and this verdant land in the springtime.
It's to sing for!
Beautiful words flowing from the heart to touch the soul of listeners
