Never left just locked away

Poetic Dan

Still a long way to go healing of the soul, I am currently struggling to find passion for work or to write for months.

Yet the words in my head never left and the worlds always turning, the rain keeps falling and the sun keeps playing hide the rays of time.

Whistles and bells with no kocha shells, I've written from the shadows to no long dwell.

I've broken out of a box to discover another on top

To finally brake free on the hill but no silence from gale or time to chill

My muse never left I just locked it away,  becoming a shell of many yesterday's.

Within the blessing of a wish of getting everything

I've relaxed the muscles that dried all my fears

The gift of what some call having poetic tears

When words given more than a meaningful  plea

They give birth and destroy life all around me

Writing for my future from my past destiny, keeping the flow of the present in harmony

Until one day have it closer than an arms reach or maybe that's where it should be

Never to get complacent and miss the next beat, only a skip can cast us free.

  • Comment from author about the poem: So blessed to know all you amazing souls that give me your time of day. I don't take it lightly and use it all to keep or put me back on track. Many days I still see it all drifting away, yet support like all of yours helps hold on for brighter days. That or I'll keep writing until cast onto that next page on the stage....ps thank you my muse(s)

    When your words have drifted
Still the poetry is so poignant
    Wonder when it comes back
    What fireworks will it crackle
    Loved these lines-
β€œ Writing for my future from my past destiny, keeping the flow of the present in harmony ”
The essence of life it seems
    Well penned dear poet

Ooooo I read yours 3 times and loved the crackle.. yes this was ramblings at stages that drift ways but thought I'd just leave it all as it was.. hopefully it keeps that light burning bright.

      Really appreciate your time
      Much peace and respect
      Keep up the write

Yes it's felt like life returning to me as I found the last part was ringing around my head by its self.

Thanks for being part of the inspiration

One day whilst heartbroken my heartbreaker said to me "life's a bitch, and then you die" which was rather unkind I thought but as the years deepen the scars of time across me I have reasoned the truth within those words. Yes, life can be a bitch but somehow we struggle through, breathing, walking, doing all the boring things we don't care to think about whilst cussing all and everything around us. Blinded by our frame of mind. Until one day a ray of sunshine lights the beauty of someone's written words. Here on MPS it's happened for me. Reading someone's capture of a part of that beauty all around us which I have been taking for granted. Something wonderful in the way it lives through the seasons, renewing life. A wonderful picture closed to my frame of mind began to open now because the things I was reading were there for me to see too if only i had the eyes to see them. But of course i do have those eyes, temporarily blinded to beauty maybe, but i began to see as if "through a glass darkly" (to coin a phrase). The world is still a beautiful place Dan.

That it is my friend and before the darkest of nights hits, I'd truly love a cuppa and sit with your spirit!
I was absolutely captured by your response and took it all with some salt, so much food for thought...

Thank you again for your precious time

May that freedom into the new wonderful world you know is out there be forever with you Dan.
