The Right Direction.

Goldfinch60

Throughout our lives we walk many paths,

Many going the way that takes us to happiness,

Some take us to sadness.

We often walk with other people who become friends

And who are travelling to where we all want to go.

Sometimes we get caught by others going down a different path,

A path we do not want to take,

That is when you realise

That it better to walk that path alone

Rather than with a crowd,

A crowd going in the wrong direction.

    Good write Gold.
Ahh, you realised you were about to take the wrong path with thousands of others (well, about 3 people) when they followed me, hearing me sing! heehee.
So you took the right path in the opposite direction. We got further apart (as in - over the hills and far way) and never our paths shall meet. Hooray, you say!

      Thanks Orchi.

I would be pleased if our paths met.

          Yet another pearl of wisdom.

It takes a good few years for most to see this wisdom. It also takes courage to leave the crowd and its comforts.

Many souls are like the proverbial sheep in a flock afraid to confront the values they have been given. Either unthinking or afraid.

True words d a, we must find our own path in this life we lead.

It needs courage to walk away from the peer group and can be difficult for youngsters. Very true and meaningful words.

            • Goldfinch60

It can be hard for the young but with experience they will learn and find their own path.
              Thank you Rosina

              Amen!
but there's method in their spinelessness, dear poet
as the outed truth in Bukowski's
              'The Genius of the Crowd'
              told us:
'beware those who seek constant crowds for
              they are nothing alone
beware the average man the average woman
beware their love, their love is average
              seeks average'

                Thank you Mek.

That’s a great advice dear Andy
I wish I could hear it soon
Nevertheless I will heed it now
Walking the path with a crowd that too a wrong one is tiring
It’s better to walk alone, humming the sound as we walk by
                Well penned

We all must walk our own path but we never truely walk it alone not if we have Faith. Wonderful message piece, truth.✌

                  • Goldfinch60

True but that faith has many forms.
May your god go with you WH.
