There she sat,
Sat in an armchair
Drinking her coffee,
Reading her paper,
Nothing strange in that,
Delightful to see.
But what was strange
Was her hat,
It was a black trilby
Sat on her blonde hair,
It was strange to me,
To see her sitting there like that,
Wearing this unlikely hat,
Which strangely suited her.
