CEREBRATE
(Two short works to transport the mind)
(1)
Beneath the sombre leaden skies
shedding tears in heathland streams
the heady scents of fern and herb
in lands where ancient silence rings.
(2)
Amorphous dreams that float on clouds
deliver me to polished sands
where I can taste the wind borne brine
and watch the moon lit diamonds dance.

Beautifully woven words to please my cerebral yuletide conscious.
On the other hind (hic) i like to cerebrate (hic) wiff a glass or two of pop (wink wink) .... why? (hic) because it's there!
And eye erl sell e brate two - pa's the bottle.
Lovely writing 🙂 I like your choice of words … flows nicely
absolutely splendid Michael .. before reading, I imagined your take on a Benny Hill crip on celibacy might be forthcoming ... my absolutely splendid remark up there hardly does these little gems the justice they so writefully deserve ..................................... N
Very well written Michael. They both have a lovely flow to them.
Good writes and pic M.
Has Miss Berles run out of 'l's, and gave you an 'r' instead?
there's so much I wish I could write in response to these two
beautiful works of art, but
since you're probably tired of reading my BS
I'll just refrain myself
and thank you for sharing, my friend
(absolutely loved the painting's, 'crayon effect' colouring
transported my eyes to their childhood's
naïve way of looking at life..)
however fleeting, what a gift
Without those tears our dreams will be unfulfilled, just as without these works, we will always thirst
