turn back the clock

dusk arising

to turn back the clock
and live again those times
those moments
which moved me on
where would i be
who would i not have met

.              what opportunities missed
.                          lips not kissed
.                     words never spoken
.                    hearts left unbroken
.                 a once aspiring achiever
.             became sardonic disbeliever
.                      spiritually enriched

                      christianity ditched

.
.                   put my life into hock?
.                and turn back the clock?
.         well i'd maybe ease the tension
.           with a more rewarding pension
.          but theres only one real wealth
.             mind and body's good health
.                    and a peel of laughter
.                   to greet the hereafter

to turn back the clock
and live again those times
those moments
which moved me on
where would i be
who would i not have met

.          what...  and lose my glorious memories
.                                 you must be joking

    The heart’s greatest desire
Which my mind rants on and on
I wish if I could turn back the clock
That’s one of my fantasy you spoke
It’s not unscientific but not yet practical
Speaking of wormholes in space which can make it possible yet it’s not possible
Only if I could turn back the clock to not make those mistakes
Loved these lines of yours :
    “ a once aspiring achiever
    . became sardonic disbeliever
    . spiritually enriched “
Maybe I am a believer of those lines
    Well penned dear Dusk
Though we can’t turn back the clock of time

A lovely well expressed poem , dusk 🙂 we’re lucky if we have a lot of good memories .. some people don’t , I know I have a lot more sad memories than positive ones and that pains me ( I wish I could turn back the clock sometimes and have all those things I should have had and missed out on

I really like your poem tho ..

A question well put to know who would do much different if clocks were turned back dear Dusk - - memories once made can be sieved and served many times over and often treasured when faded to maybe accepting mistakes.

Wow very thought provoking poem. Sometimes I think 'if only I had not said or done this' but it's a pointless exercise. Just have to move forward and make the most of every day. Thank you.

If we turned back the clock and did different things we would be in a different place and not in the wonderful life that I know that you and I can look back on d a.
