Such A Lucky Man.

Goldfinch60

I sit here on my porch,

A glass of fine wine to hand

And I look,

I look at my life,

At where I am in my life.

I sit here and listen,

Listen to Nature’s Symphony

Bringing music to me

Straight into my heart and mind.

I look up into the sky,

The bright blue sky,

The occasional white cloud

Floating by in beauty

As Nature’s Artwork astounds me,

Astounds me once more.

I look outward at my garden,

My garden extending to the horizon,

Seeing the beauty and love

That Nature has planted for me

And has given to me in my life,

My life that reaches out

Reaches out to eternity.

Such a lucky man am I.

  • Fay Slimm.

You phrase your life in such grateful words Andy and we can all follow your fine example of looking at the gifts of Nature and enjoying our days more by appreciation - - lovely thoughts and thank you for sharing them.

      Thank you Fay, my pleasure.

Nature's bounty displayed freely in art and music two of men's better creations yet the world did it first. Lovely descriptive poetry my friend. ☺

You are a lucky man because you see the positive and the beauty all around you. With a different mindset you could equally see the negatives and consider yourself the unlucky one but that is not you, not the way your mind works.

I share much of the same outlook as you.

It's plain to see on MPS we have writers of both ilks.

You are indeed surrounded by beautiful gifts. In these days this is a great fortune indeed. Lovely.

            • Goldfinch60

I surely am Rozina, I feel so grateful for being in the place of my life in which I now find myself. Thank you for your kind words.

              Andy
