In the Desert I Saw a Beacon.

Trenz Pruca

I have grown adverse
To changing things
That worked.

In the desert
I saw a beacon
Flashing
Lines of fire
In the sky
Making structures
Across the firmament.

I looked to the moon for light,
Made a house of stone,
Dug a well for my life,
Planted green vines and melons,
Laid down in my bed,
Slept the long sleep,
Dreamed the long dream.
