Tune: Branle de l'officiel
('Ding, dong, merrily on high')
A joint poem by Fido and I.
**********
Woof, woof! hear now Fido sing
Joyful praises he does bring
Bark, bark! dog talking, singing
Can do almost anything
Chorus
How-ow-ow-ling! His master's voice he's drowning
How-ow-ow-ling! With woofs and barks abounding
He was there at manger-stall
The Saviour shown to us all
Was disguised as sheepdog, he
A crafty canine sure be - Chorus
He his master does advise
To give up singing, no prize
Does his master gain, though he
Has had singing lessons, see - Chorus
Fido says to master, Is
It enough to have had this?
Five thousand lessons, no less
But through all made no progress - Chorus
'Tis all right, master replies
My tutor say, no denies
Only three thousand and four
Lessons you shall need, no more - Chorus

Thanks lol. Yes - they say my tutor wears ear-plugs, but he wears a long wig to disguise them. lol.
You have advanced from cat singing to dog singing the lessons are paying off, love the poem☺
Thanks WH. lol.
I take it this is a ruff draft from one who is seriously barking ………. N 😎
Thanks N. lol. A 'modern' hymn for me 'hymn-book!'
