Immanent Incarnation

Tune: Cradle Song

('Away in a manger')

John 1 v.14-18 parts

*******

And the Word was flesh mane

To us is displayed

The Word is Christ, God's Son

To save everyone

He did dwell on this earth

A pure virgin's birth

We beheld His glory

Of God it is, see

Glory of the only

Begotten and free

Of the Father, he be

Full of grace, truth He

We have of His fullness

Received, he shall bless

His grace shown and here shared

With us, none compared

No one e'er has God seen

Never has it been

But Christ, God's only Son

Reveals Him, [Christ is] the One

Who us the Father shows

So each Him may know

Christ incarnate, human

Yet still divine then
