Fast lane thoughts

Poetic Dan

I've spent my life in the fast lane and never given it up

Is there a wrong or right time to go off on your own

The chip on my shoulder grew from many things

From the peer pressure of just trying to fit in

To the unforgiving words that she walked into a door again

The scars became a tattoo in the spirit of things we'd been through

The inner child was gone or so I thought to be true

Time never healed but it most definitely moved on

To become way more than the boy that did what he wants

Learning to walk the path from anothers eyes you'd wish you'd not

Finding meaning from all the memories that guided our hearts

Full from every tiny interaction on others parts

Never to truly be alone in each breath until the last

The speed was never important just the knowledge passed

Grateful to be on the stage and joining in with lifes art

I like your writings Dan .. and this is a good poem .. our inner child can be so hurt .. can’t they .

I know mine has been .

If we walk away on our own .. maybe because we feel unloved .. and not a nice feeling

    Keep writing , ))

Yes part of life is definitely not ment to be easy but our carertakers should take some of the responsibility until we can mold our own!

Yet each of us will do it when the time is right, if we know it or not!

      Thank you my friend

Who can we pass the buck to? Who should we pass it to? Would anyone accept it? Nope. We are stuck with it so better get on with being ourselves and fitting in where it's nice and comfy for everyone.

Ha ha! That was it or is it in a nut shell my friend, spot on as ever!
Still teaching my brain not to blame just get comfortable with your chosen lane.
