soulmate

dusk arising

Did we meet this time
my soulmate?
or did
something go wrong
my train was late?

or is it
that awful thing
they talk about
just fate

did something
go wrong
my last time around?
is this my
huge learning curve

payback
for a life i deserve?

    Payback for what I deserve…
    What a thunderclap
A soulmate may be a matter of fate
A soulmate may be a just a few kilometres away
While I be dozing off in blankets
Not spirited enough to find that mate
So well clasped the meeting if chance encounters
Though I don’t like things to be fated
But it’s one if the things I often use
Totally irony in my own lies

If you accept reincarnation then a true soulmate can be defined as one who shared an important part of a former life with you, met again in this life.

        That’s deep
        A part of me
        believes in reincarnation
If so I wonder how would I recognise the soulmate

That huge learning curve never comes to an end d a, we will continue to learn for infinity.

There will be plenty to learn in the next phase of existence.

Appropriate and so well scripted questions on this tricky subject dear Dusk - - -perhaps we all do the rounds and learn a bit at the same time - who knows- but what a compelling read this reflection of yours today.

This was brought to mind when my ex (divorced 35 years ago) referred to me as a soulmate. Still a great deal of respect and friendship between us.

            love the tender tonality and care;
            poetic words
            that whisper, rather than state
            asking
            instead of merely assuming
            and hoping, and hoping
            till that very last line
            its not ourselves that caused
            the mess, we're
just now realising, could have so easily
            been our blessing...
(another of your subtle write's, dear Poet
thank you for choosing to share, your Brilliant poetic talent!)

Yes indeed but are we responsible for life's late trains? Just a conumdrum to juggle with on a drizzly rainy day in January.

The great thing about curves is they add up to a circle allowing us to get a second chance if we are willing to wait others may agree curves also look great on a woman making waiting worth it. Deep poetry today my friend ☺

Curves are always attracting me for sure.

Great questions to ask oneself. Love surely is mysterious. Soulmates can be found in many people. Maybe the payback is meaningless as long as you appreciate the experience whether good or bad.

                • dusk arising

Soulmate in this context is one with whom an important part of a former life was shared. All a part of reincarnation, itself one of the great questions or a leap of faith.

I understand about soulmates and twin flames

                  A good writing , dusk arising )
