I am Heavy

uncertaintea

I am sorry, I am heavy

My heart weighs as much as the sum of those of every person I have ever hurt, loved, or let go

My shoulders, pressed down with burdens I cannot explain

My soul, dense with purposes unfilled of the persons who carried it before me

My mind, filled with soldiers fighting a war against my own psyche

I am sorry, but I do not want to lay this heaviness, on you

(this is a penetratingly succinct poem
    'in my humble opinion'
thank you! for choosing to share
    and for inspiring
    my little scribbled reply)
    Time divided by Life
    always equates, to the gathering
    of garbage
    as unwanted, baggage
    although
we reserve the right, to claim
    that garbage or leave it
    endlessly, going round
    on that baggage carousal
    every time, we're greeted
    by a new relationship's
    arrival Gates;
    our choice, is a tool
    we must never, squander...

Ok, apart from me relating to the title of this poem on a physical level 😅 This was really good. The way sometimes we have to cut off relationships or even prevent them from beginning in order to save the other person from our mess is probably one of the most selfless things we can do. But we eventually have to grow and become worthy of our beings. Nice poem!
