Tune: Franconia
('Blest are the pure in heart')
Psalm 119 v.105-112
********
Your word is a lamp to
My feet, and light to
My path, I have sworn that I will
Keep your good judgements still
I am much afflicted
Revive me, so I tread
Still in your ways, help by your word
You ever be my Lord
Accept, I do beseech
Freewill offerings, each
That I with my mouth make, teach too
Me your judgements to do
My life continually
Is in my hand, so be
Dangers surround me, yet do I
Keep and learn your laws nigh
Wicked have set for me
Traps, yet I strayed not, see
From your precepts, testimonies
They my heritage be
For ever do they last
If lift up or downcast
I may be, they the rejoicing
Of my heart, I do sing
I have inclined my heart
To perform, every part
Of your statutes always, e'en to
The end, so shall I do

A promise i made to God
To be kind forever
To him i surrender
To his challenges i take
But itโs tiring now
I ask him how long should I face
These lines born inside i wish to ask God resining in heaven above
Your lines struck the overwhelming soul
Thanks S.
