Sometimes we want to split in two, melt on the floor to become something new
Drift along rainbow Road, absorbing colours to become someone bold
Tip toe through the forbidden forest, shedding any unwanted horrors
Washing back up from the depths of our soul, to find no other place called home
This more than a body or a vessel, but a castle with fire to been seen for miles
Let nothing be in our way we're all born to be wild, just wait for stars and ancestors to smile

- Comment from author about the poem: First line came to me when putting my little one to bed and trying to get out of the door, the rest came from life and maybe something else I never know. Busy weekend and hope you all have fun! Be what you want

Enjoyed your poem. Thank you.
Always a pleasure and a huge thank you!
You capture something magic within us all here Dan. This is a different higher you speaking out. Probably a voice in you that has been quietly crying to be heard beneath the burdens you hide it behind.... let it flow, it's the real core of your spirit.... run with it, doesn't it feel good?
THis one goes into my favourites.
I thought I had more to say but as I read your words again your probably right my friend... Still learning to free myself from myself lol
Thanks as ever for your time

(who needs
caffeine or a sugar rush
when poetry like yours
can fuel me, endlessly...)
thank you, dear Poet
for reminding us all
'to leap:
for those 'frisbee's' of opportunity
whilst battling, through our sandpits
of life...'
Ooo my days while waiting for the biggest lady at school pick up, I read you line and clicked my fingers out loud with a big cheer....
Those lines in return was outstandingly good!
May that smile always be looking down on you Dan.
Andy
I'm sure it will my friend, thank you
The liens brought me different feel
It was a bouquet of flowers
Where each strand told me different story
Where each heed a different advice
Where the lines told me different experiences
And where I could agree by all kind
Great one dear poetic Dan
