Lovers Lament

woundedheart

Notice of absence from woundedheart
Sorry due to personal reasons i will be absent for an unknown period of time
Thank you for your friendship and may the Lord watch over you all and keep you safe. ❀❀❀❀

He lay upon the burning beach,
the darkness falling fast.
as to the night he made this speech,
and then he softly past.

My love I made my promise true,
but now i cannot keep.
I swore I would return to you,
but here alone now sleep.

Arrows pierced my beating heart,
the one I gave to you.
And now i fear we two must part,
my love was ever true.

The stars have bleed from foreign skies,
in tribute from above.
Replacing in the firmament,
My heart, my words, my love.

He lay upon the burning beach,
a smile upon his lips.
As his wifes faded photograph,
fell from his finger tips.

Great work here wh! Nice flow, very sad and touching. So relatable to anyone who's 'been' deeply in love/happily married. Can't say that's me though, but I can dream,... Actually,I'm in love with JosephineπŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ˜‚
