you have to laugh at it
laugh cos its funny
how hopes
seem to fade away
with the days
so many days
and you find
you just can't remember
what your hopes were
or what they meant
but again somehow
you live in hope
of some vague happiness
someplace out there
where life
is for living

'and hope is not
just believing
in those twisted knot's
of life's
sans of naught..'
a relatable shorty, Dusk
thanks for sharing
Thank you LBM. Hope springs eternal within the positive mind.
It doesn't relate to your life? Well it sure does to mine,..my milestone birthday is closing in on me,the big five O,..it's had me thinking lately๐Lol Nice,it's relatable, reflective and funny ๐๐๐
My milestone birthday has a big seven in it and is about six weeks away. My hopes have modified and remain intact. Big five oh is a great place to be sir.
Lol,yes I suppose in hindsight,it is๐
And I could relate to those lines
Penned were emotions that cling to the heart
Hope
Something it was
But what were they ?
And those perfect ending lines
โ but again somehow
you live in hope
of some vague happiness
someplace out there
where life
is for livingโโ
Hope changes with the years. Become old and it remains but becomes far less demanding. Thanks spiller.
my guess is that you have just poemed something that most, if not all will relate to at one time or other .. I know I do, did and am likely to again .. Neville
I phrased it so that along with the positive minded, the negatives can also relate whilst the depressed may dwell on the last line. Something for everyone. quote "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get".
I suppose you have to see the funny side of life. We spend that much time worrying about life, we forget through time what the worry was.
LOL stop worrying. Live in hope.
I know how this feels Dusk and yet we must keep going despite life's tough side which derides our efforts.
Dunno about must but to a 'glass half full' person it would be second nature.... occasional hiccup excused. But i would accept the point of view that I am biased.
Yes and yet you turn the corner one day and find out why, got to carry on until the end.
Thanks for sharing
There's no alternative to carrying on to the end Dan, even if we end it ourselves. But there's plenty of choice along the way. We see people writing positive stuff on here and negative too. I'd bet good money that both have hopes.
Hope for a better morning, hope for a better week, hope to see my overseas daughter soon, hope I can write better poems! Always hopeful. Let us all keep on hoping. Thank you for this.
That hope becomes reality when living for another day is within us.
Andy
