Let Your Spirit Fly

Let your spirit fly 

set you mind free 

take a stellar trip beyond reality

 

Sail away into the night 

upon a ship of sail and flight

into the cosmos so majestically 

 

Passing stars by

as they twinkle,shimmer and shine

and gigantic spheres without gravity 

 

The further out we go

the more time seems to slow 

as we peer back with visions of the whole galaxy 

 

Into deeper space we race

with such a warm embrace

where Angels dance with blazing stars so gleefully 

 

And they dance through rings of fire

leaving coloured sparks and streaks of light across the universe

with trails of feathers burning so beautifully

 

As they dance with such elegance upon gamma rays

into stunning nebulae

so free,so beautiful and gracefully.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Using one of the fastest crafts ever developed,the voyager 1 space prop,it would take roughly 1,736,809 years to travel 100 light years,travelling at its maximum velocity of 62,140 klm. The closest nebula to earth is 700 light years away,according to google. If you go to page 5 of all my poems,you'll find one called True Loves Kiss,..I always thought it could be so much more. This was my attempt to turn it into so much more. Thanks ,hope you enjoy 😀✌️🕊

        Thanks Katie,..if you go to page 5 of all my poems,you'll fine one called True loves kiss. Ever since I wrote it a number of years ago I've thought it could be so much more,..so this was my attempt to tweek it into so much more.😊✌🕊
