I look up to the dark night sky,
The moon shines down on me.
I look passed this wondrous sight
Into the darkness and see the stars.
I look passed the stars each a memory,
A memory of a loved one,
And into that darkness I go,
Wondering when that question,
That question will be answered,
As I am sure it will be soon.
“Is anybody there?”

- Comment from author about the poem: I am convinced that there is life beyond this world and at the moment they are looking at us and laughing their heads off at the mess we are making of our world. You will know the first two minutes of the music but the whole piece which is rarely heard lasts about half an hour - enjoy.

It'll be E.T.! lol.
No not he he " 'phoned home".
A bit spooky if there are humans on other planets. I don't think there are. The No.7 bus goes to Outer Space, I think. Is it a one-way trip? Let's take a trip and find out!
There are spirits of our angels and loved ones somewhere Andy in a place we can't comprehend ..... it's a belief which falls naturally to man but as you know has been clouded by religious practices.
So true d a, organised religion has ruined so many peoples lives.

Just for the proverbial record, I'm making like a Monkey ... I'm a believer π
So am I, I just cannot believe that the human race is so arrogant that life of earth is the only life in the universe.
Andy
Itβs one of the ideas I have always dwelled in
And you gave words to my ideas
What if somebody in parallel world is watching
What he shall think
Itβs intriguing as well it gives a smile thinking about it
You mention a parallel world spilleronsheet, there is a theory that there are an infinite number of parallel universes and we live in in infinite different ways within them.
Thank you.
Andy
I believe there is many out there Andy. Question is, What interest could they possibly have in us? π½
So very true AP, theyare just looking down laughing at the mess we are making of this planet.
Andy
Silly humans, when will they ever learn? π½π½
'The moon shines down on me.
I look passed this wondrous sight
Into the darkness and see the stars.
I look passed the stars each a memory,
A memory of a loved one,
And into that darkness I go,'
my thought's too, have ventured
to those silent plains, Andy
and have found a twinkle or two
to help me believe
there's hope, enough
to invest and
'seek in that great, Perhaps'
as Rabelais, supposedly
said it, best...
(love the music choice, dramatic
like the pointed, initial moment
before we make any choice in life
but then
it continues to portray a rather mellow
if lofty
endurance strengthening, energetic musicality)
lol
like I know anything about music
Thank you for your words Mek, those 'silent plains' will be so wonderful.
As for the music, so many people only hear the first two minutes of that tune, it s like life some people only see the obvious but if you really look and listen there is so much more to be seen and heard.
Andy
The ultimate question that always gives out the same answer depending on the night.
I believe there is life out there.
Andy
I'm with you
Those starry spaces must mean something for us earthling dear Andy and one day I am sure we will know who is out there - a verse to ponder and thanks for sharing.
One day I do sincerely hope that is so Fay.
Andy
Powerful words. Waiting for the right time? Maybe....
You may well be right Rozina, I would like to hope that it is soon.
