Risen were the waves
Risen were the praise
those days
when petunia bloomed
strangling up the balcony
the feathers played
chirps heard from the lanes
the petunia bloomed
hanging up behind the curtains straight
but one day
It all ended
the bloom withered away
gone were the praise
trampled and thrown out on same lanes
the fallen petals of petunia
Swept across the lanes

Feel sorry for petunia (( just love your poems .
Great writing .. so nicely expressed )))
Thank you so much dear rose
Much appreciated
Petunia is a beautiful flower with contradictory symbolism. Resentment and anger gone away with the wind. So it all peace that prevails. So let the peace and soothing sunshine give rise to beautiful Sunflower in our lives !! Nice one Spiller.. !!
Sunflower indeed is a beautiful flower
I was just for a change embracing the wildness of petunia
Thanks a lot dear Vamsi
I shall surely smile like a sunflower
Appreciate your varied interests Spiller !!!
Thanks a lot dear Vamsi
Now i feel so pampered

A lovely poem about a lovely flower. We have petunias growing here, of many colours usually sold in hanging pots.
Yes, they are very lovely and colourful like a honeysuckle
Good words spilleronsheet but those blooms will return.
Andy
I hope they do
I hope the harsh winter doesn’t tamper it’s hope to bloom
Really enjoyed this my friend thank you!
Glad you liked it dear friend
tinged with sadness ... but this clearly demonstrates your increasing confidence as a fine poet and your versatility ... Neville x
Thank you so much
It feels so good to be complemented
And to grow as a poet
I guess it’s not my growth alone
It’s the friends at MPS who nurtured me
Thank you so much dear Neville
