sinking ships

Crystal Hope

foggy mist unraveled her fingers
brushing the rusty ivory shingles.
an ocean breeze kissed her cheek
with a salty melon dew that made her tingle.

cookie crumbled boulders sanded her toes
with soaked ridges scratching her naked feet.
a morning sunrise awakened a warm glow
dusting her shoulders with a feeble heat.

wandering waves bathed her ankles
as she stumbled up a rocky hill.
shadowed stairs her legs wobbled on,
at the top her ears heard the wind's whistle shrill.

her short brunette locks swept her face
as the tassels of her dress tickled her hips.
a sea of sickness washed over her
as she journeyed for the sinking ships.

'cookie crumbled boulder's, sanded her toes
with soaked ridges scratching her naked feet.
a morning sunrise awakened, a warm glow
dusting her shoulders with a feeble heat.'
    what a beautiful verse
    and a great write!
    'imagery, be thy poetry's pen
    and a talent
    of graceful poise, thine ink'
    to showcase, and weave
    with seamless flow, such
    accomplished: poetic skill...
    'fallenangel1' said it best, already
    thank you!
for choosing to share, dear poet
