What it All Boils Down To
Poetry has become
it seems
but one of our new
many sins ..
Each tiny paper note
pinned fresh
to some elsewise
virgin page ..
Each single letter
unique
in its own write,
becomes alive ..
Depicting
as it does, exquisite
yet still
inexcusable guilt
and yes, sublimely ..
Now etched
upon the minds of those
free wretches
and shackled kings divinely ..

Ha - you express so well the writing addition Nev. and I for one am guilty as charged. Poets world over love virgin pages for their sinful urge to leave unique marks. One for my faves as a witty reminder that I too have long needed that same daily fix.............x
............................... I had a hunch you might get here first dear Fay .... I just knew you would get that withdrawal feeling we seem to share ............................................ a mere thanks aint enough under the circumstances 🙂 x
The intense sin….the darkest crime…the love of ink stabbing the paper beside…spilling all over as the ink flows….such a grave crime but words so well stringed pleading the poet’s guilt….very skilfully crafted piece dear Neville….a thousands applaud
I am well n truly honoured spiller my very dear friend .. many of my most sincerest thanks are on their way ....................... Neville x
Brilliant!

(I can't help but wonder
how many thousands of write's
were binned, by impassioned obstinacy
in your strive, to accumulate
such wordsmith skill
for flawless, flow
and seamless, rhyming dexterity
in your, irresistible: Poetry!)
I simply bow, to your inking Mastery, my friend
I lost count after the first dozen or so .................................. cheers n many thanks brother Mek & then some sir ......................................... Neville

As the book says. I sin seven times a day. Or is that pee overnight? I can't keep up
me too mate .. shockin innit ................ thank you so much my friend for sharing that with me .. I swear it won't go any further ........................... Neville 🙂
If poetry is a sin, we are all going to burn in hell. Probably worth it though. Since I'm just getting back onto this hellbent wagon your poem struck a chord.
You may have explained the attraction this writing uses to possess us all. It may truly be the letters and words upon the white paper. For what other common denominator is there since the ideas are so varied and unique. So rom one "Shackled king" to another, Keep It Up. - Phil A.
it is great to have you back Phil .. I had been wondering about you recently ... hope you & yours are all okay ........... and cheers for getting in touch like this, it/you are really appreciated sir ... Neville
