LOVE IS NOT RED ROSES

Love is not red roses

Or Instagram poses

Of you and your girl

And Love’s not a ring

Or a song you can sing

Or words on a card

On Valentine’s Day.

Love’s not a rhyme

Or a moment in time

In the dark

Of a room

Or under the moon.

The sound of a harp

For a lovesick fool

It’s far more than that

It’s a part of my life

I can’t live without

For Love is my fuel

That drives me each day

I can’t move without it

I can’t find my way

And without our Love

I’d be parked up in space

Floating around

No future to face.

But now

With my Love for you

I can go anywhere

I can ride on your tide

For this is the fuel

That burns deep inside

That powers me on

And runs through my veins

My passion for you

Will just never cool

For I am full to the brim

Of the greatest resource

My life is you and

Love is the fuel
