Perplexed

As I sit and think of you 

and how far you are away

it makes me feel a little blue 

to know I can't touch you in any physical way

I long for the warm touch of your hand

i want to gently stroke and place a flower in your hair

as we talk and walk in the sands of your land

and hear you laugh without a care

I want to make you laugh 

i want to make you cry 

but never tears of pain and sorrow

always and only tears of joy 

You make me want to love myself 

something I have lacked

my life is scattered on a shelf

you make me want to make a glorious comeback.
