Tune: Song 34
('Amidst us our Belovéd stands'
OR 'Forth in thy name, O Lord, I go')
Habakkuk 3 v.17-19 {Old Testament Prophet}
**********
Although the fig tree not blossom
Nor produce figs, not even some
Neither if no fruit in the vines
Or seems no blessings there no signs
And if labour of olive fails
If meaning so poor crop entails
And if the fields no produce yield
Or seems heavens as brass and sealed
If the flock cut off from the fold
And the stalls they no herd do hold
yet through all these things I will still
Rejoice in the Lord, and hope feel
Yes, I will joy in Him, He be
The God of my salvation, see
He my strength, e'en though all else may
Wither, decay in trouble's day
