Night thief

blue sapphire

Drifting away into dark abyss

slowly after two at night

knocking at the door with a familiar tone

is the night thief that has come to rob

rob me off of my happiness and joy

displacing order and peace I earned in the day

the moon is bleeding red tonight

engulfing the thief in its color alike

the room, the bed, the lamp and the mirror

are all now in the view of mine

he comes closer, closer and closer

Oh wait, I realize he is a familiar companion

wide awake we converse through the night

till the sun comes up to break us aside

I asked finally why he chose my place tonight

he said he knew I needed someone tonight

nights are becoming less lonely

I do not mind him robbing my sleep

as he is my one and only.
