Empty Spaces

Frank Moses Phiri

Empty spaces

I have always hated them

their feel of nothingness

their uncomfortable grip of lonely

their empty touch that chills the spine

Empty

Like a blank page

With nothing to tell

All nothingness

Void of thought or emotion

Lifeless

Silent like the grave

Ever demanding to be noticed

An abyss that’s always taking and never giving back

I hate empty spaces

Especially those in the heart

Yessss. Holes in our hearts are like itches we can't scratch, they're always there and annoying. πŸ‘πŸ‘Good job!

"An abyss that’s always taking and never giving back"
Great use of words and images.

Reading this i couldn't help but think.... i disagree, empty spaces are there for placing good things into... no rubbish to be cleared away... they are clean and receptive.... Oh that my heart were so empty of the rubbish that has been left there by past loves.

thats another interesting perspective but our feelings and experience towards the empty spaces differ, I appreciate the comment ande making me see the other side
