Eleven o’clock

Hailey Black

Through the darkness of the sky,

I’m looking in your eyes.

It’s sparkling, like fireworks,

Deep, like our nights.

My heart it’s pounding, like never before.

The Smell of your skin, chases me

Even now, it’s chaining me down

And I can’t, won’t escape from it.

Trembling words I will not say again,

Forgetting, who I was in the day.

While staring at the stars, go(ing) away

And not even look(ing) back.

And it’s morning, again and I look,

Search for something old, in the new.

Chasing a fading memory, that

I can’t forget, because of you.

    your words, linger
likes whispers from a lost love's ghost
and the trails visible to the eye
    make-out, the outlines
    used to create that artwork..
    (that's how intertwined
your words are to the artwork..
a beautiful page of diverse artforms
    gloriously, in sync)
thanks for sharing! your scintillating creativity

Wow this is beautifully written. I love how the third stanza incorporates both present and past tense of the words "go" and "look" as it could've happened, or be happening. Good job!👍
