Ruins

lexandria

Her body was meant to be worshiped

Instead it was mistreated

She was thrown down and ripped open

Left feeling unwanted and disgusted

In that moment her light went dim

Her soul cried out for help

Her heart turned to ice

She knew she was unlovable at this point

Everything she dreamt off just faded away….

In that moment all she could do was lie there.

Someone she loved had invaded her safe place

The place that were her sensuality lived and and thrived.

The place that housed her sweet honey , that how now been tainted.

The place that would one day birth her children …

Her body was suppose to be a temple

But now it’s just ruins .

Jeez! This was impactful. Sexual violation is such a coldblooded crime. The way people can have the nerve to commit such things is beyond me. Anyways, you wrote it well! 👍

Strong emotive poetry written from the heart. Something all young men should read and understand before entering into the physical part of love. Beautifully displays the genders differences in mindset of young lovers.

Welcome to MPS. This place works at its best if we read each others poetry and leave a few comments here and there. Along the way you'll probably make a few poetic pals, we're a friendly bunch. I know that being here has improved my writing a great deal just by seeing how others approach their writing.... most of all... enjoy yourself.
