Farmer’s daughter
selling apples and pies,
offers him a preview
he breathes deep to savor
the taste of air between them
time and love embrace,
love winks her approval.
He shrinks from the moment
buys a bag of apples
and a pie.

Wise choice, you can always discard old fruit when it goes mouldy on you.
Thanks, Dusk. Yes, you can.
Good words Jerry and so wise.
