They said I can't have you
Because it will cost me my life too.
I gently rub my belly,
"Baby, please stay with mommy".
It was a hard trimester,
It was such a disaster.
I was told to have a total bed rest,
To make sure you survive and be at your best.
I was so weak and dying.
But I have to make sure you keep on surviving.
You cried before I closed my eyes.
I thought I will never see the light.
Now you're sixteen,
Soon to be eighteen.
It was my best decision
To keep you without hesitation.
I was blessed to have you as my daughter.
Because you filled my life with joy and laughter.
"Mommy, I love you forever".
You always say with a cuddle.
