Smothering Mountain

Theo8176

The steps cautiously pass the trees; The leaves are swaying through the air

The rocks rumble from the top, While the insects wake through the night

The trees sway their branch like it’s nothing, While the wind caught a cold

The stones move from left to right, With the boot drag through the path

The torpor fades away, The head moves silently with despair

The hand wish to unbind with its words, But the word land on deaf ears

The tongue cannot speak, Jingling bells crash on the dermis

Waves of panic cry out, Vibrating the temple with unease

A rope circle the nape, It drops like a doll

Swinging against the bush, The breath of the temple long gone

As the sun rises across the mountain, The bird arrives to its nest

Until it notice there are no sticks, Only a posy of hair

Songs waver through the trees, Childrens running through the field

Into the bush they went, Hiding from the others as part of a game

A knock on the head sends them flying, Tears drop down from their eyes

Fear took over the mountain, The sirens pass through the trees

No more singing can be heard, No more running can be seen

Only the dread of the eyes, The stains of the smothering mountain
