“Sh!t on it!”
says one.
“Kill it if you can!”
says another.
They’re atop the holy grail, the “H” on the Hollywood Sign.
It’s 10 milky men,
With 10 filthy smirks,
Atop the holy grail.
“Hail thee Mighty!”
“Hail thee Powerful!”
It’s ten atop the sail,
of the Santa Maria!
We must bow down,
Don’t show resistance.
Neglect neglection,
Neglect the distance.
We are thrown,
We are spat,
We are forced
To show submission.
For it’s 10 pallid men
Atop the holy grail.
Father, Son, Spirit,
And Creation.
Disregard inhumanity,
Disregard our existence.
For there’s living,
But not here.
It is there,
Far above our muddy trails.
Yet in our hearts, lives a world of color,
A world unrestricted, a world that’s unscripted!
10 vile white men,
Writing our fates in their 10 vile black pens.
Yet within the underground roads,
Beneath Mount H-Wood
There lives a tribe, a community,
A nation.
There lives a world of restoration,
Kindness seeping through the dirt.
Disregarding accusations,
Only focused on salvation.
Salvation for the People,
Salvation for the Earth.
We are not dogs, we are not dirt
We are people, just like thee.
And our sympathy,
WILL outnumber.
For we are focused on one unanimous truth,
That all humankind is created equal.
“Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness”
With our kindness seeping through the dirt,
We’ll unearth our hearts and show our worth.
We will no longer neglect neglection,
We will embrace this new resurrection!
Our colors will reach the peak and sprout new life,
Flowers of Red, Blue, White.
Trees of Black and Brown firm trunks
With luscious green leaves.
We will dethrone the crooked hands which once controlled
Our destinies, and we will rewrite our future!
No longer do we submit to the waves of a sail,
No longer do we bow down to the smirks of the pale.
We are a multicolored People,
We are a Kaleidoscope of colors, and skin,
And love, and womanliness, and far beyond a binary!
The 10 white men on the Hollywood Sign
Will tumble.
Thank God for Vertigo!

Wow! You fill me with hope, I love this poem.
Thanks so much Bella! I love hearing your feedback! My goal was to leave the reader with an optimistic view and I'm so glad that I was able to transmit that to you. Have a great day! π
Something tells me those ten milky men will still be around to protest their high status.
Haha! Honestly though! The "superior" and arrogant will always try to find their way to the top, but eventually Vertigo will get them tumbling back down again. Change needs to be made! I'm glad you enjoyed the poem Paul! I'll give you an insight on one of the meanings in this poem. The "vertigo" that the "10 milky men" are experiencing is symbolic for change. Since this "vertigo" eventually makes them "tumble," hinting at their downfall, there is now an open space to live freely and without restraint. So the last line could be read as, "Thank God for Change" ππ. Thanks once again for dropping by! π
A powerful message
An empowering tone
A thoughtful move breaking the old customary rules
Determined inside, one day shall surely shine outside
Beautiful imagery with a strong message
Well penned dear poet

Well expressed change is slowly happening shame human nature has not changed and improved as much as science and technology.
Honestly though! If only society could also progress like the way technological breakthroughs do. Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate the input! May you have a wonderful day! πβ¨

This is great poem, it carries the spiritual
And physical feelings of all humanity. Simply put, "We are equal" our blood is all red, we have all the same equal number of organs, heads, hands, legs, and, we all have hair on our bodies, so, Fuck the skin colour.
Thanks Rocky. Well done for sharing with us!
Yes Hassan!!! I'm SO SO happy to see you stopped by this poem and left a beautiful review. To read that this left not only a physical impact but also a spiritual one is so rewarding! Also what you said is so true. We are all EQUAL, we're made up of the same constitution and no one is left out! Thanks for your response, I really appreciate it! β¨π π
