Eugene

The day had started,

Without me.

I lie there

Eyes open

Captured  in a thought,

Frozen

Lying still

On my bed,

Not quite dead

Or sleeping,

Not the Full Stop

But a Comma,

A lingering pause

An interjection to consider

While the day is SPENT.

Yes! The "comma!" It's a yield, but not a "full stop." Well expressed! 💖
