Our children we must protect
Don’t let their feelings be hurt
All competition is highly suspect
The weak might be left in the dirt
T-ball doesn’t keep track of their score
Unimportant are losses or wins
Every child gets a trophy for sure
To be better than someone else is the worst of sins
All games should end in a tie
One knows that games that are closest are best
If wining was impossible betting crimes would soon die
And instead of watching the Super Bowl one could rest
I’m sure all of your children’s bosses will be fair
They will never have to compete for a husband or wife
I’m sure that for them everyone will care
If no one else, the government will take care of them for life
Do not discriminate by grading children in school
Every one of them a chance deserves
So what if your surgeon was the class fool
Or the one that failed health class makes your strawberry preserves
Hire a dyslexic broker your portfolio to maintain
Put one that failed chemistry in charge of your medication
Choose a blind pilot to fly your airplane
After all that’s how we pick the leader of our nation
