Twisted Politics

HassanKossar

When politics gets twisted

Our lives gets crumpled
I dont know the way out,
You dont know it either,
How did we come to this deadend?
Look here and there,
Look in front and back,
Listen to the screams of the weak,
Listen to the women and children,
Listen to the voices of desperation,
Survey and observe the whole land,
If thats what you saw, if thats what you heard,
Talk about it boldly,
talk about the death and destruction,
The skeleton of those victims laying around,
Did you ask them why they were killed?

This happens when men loose clarity,
This happens when guns take charge of our affairs,
This happens when politics gets twisted.

Yes! What a message! I love your wording and the way you express the "fked upness" of politics so well is gracious. I have a feeling you'll enjoy my poem "Vertigo." I also dabble into the sphere of messed up "superiors." 👏💖

Thank you for this exquisite poem that touches my soul. Politics, by its very nature, is susceptible to corruption. It's up to each one of us to find clarity of vision, to recognize, and speak out for those who are its victims. Thank you for your words!
