Rocks wet and shining
Unseen by those who won’t see
Closed minds have no sight.

Good write and pic M. Miss Berles seeing?
No she Fum Berles. lol
I like the message in your haiku/senryu. So true.
Thanks Rozina.
forgive my rudeness, Michael
I meant no disrespect, initially
your art took me
to seashore rock faces
and then your words inspired me
to pen a little poetic reply..
thanks for sharing, dear Poetic Artist
such work of deeply insightful commentary..
(hard to budge
dense stubbornness
but formed of, of
survival's, pure minerals
so they know
change, is inevitable
but those humane Truth's
of life
can never be negotiated,
so let progression's moss
cover
and seasonal raindrops
bombard:
'Rocks wet and shining
Unseen by those who won’t see
Closed minds have no sight.')
Disrespect? That's something you've never shown. I do love your response and (says I immodestly) I really love that line: Closed minds have no sight. Wish I could patent it rather than rely on copyright.
As simple as it needs to be.
Thanks PPD - I love what I call shorties - you can pack a punch without going round the houses.
Great words ME. Brought to mind how wasted is all our poetry in a world where so few see the poetic.
You/ve hit the nail on the head - or is head on the nail? It is frustrating to see so much good work which deserves to be widely seen and yet is hidden away in the corners of the internet. so many good writers here on MPS.
Michael,
‘Closed minds have no sight.’
So true…
‘closed minds’ will never see;
but, of course, that is never you.☺️
Love the painting.
Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Laura - Jeanne has meeting with her consultant on Monday so we are hoping to hear that her cancer has further shrunk and that she can have a holiday from the drugs - fingers crossed.
