Starts Once More.

Goldfinch60

We live in this wonderful world

But so many do not see it,

See the wonders that are around us.

Are they blind!

Or are they greedy,

They want all for themselves,

Don’t care of anybody else!

They fight each other

Creating hostility in our world.

Why do they fight?

What do they want?

They want more power!

Power to do what?

To have control over others!

But why?

If ever they get that power

Somebody will say no,

And the fighting starts once more!

      Than k you Orchi.

I think it is absolutely necessary to have a mini rant when the moment requires it .. indeed under todays grim circumstances, I think a collective mini rant on behalf of all the currently oppressed in what should be a global democracy is badly needed ... I have already said my piece but elsewhere and fear that in isolation, it will probably be as effective as trying to parry a high velocity bullet with a fart ... but boy did I feel better for it ...

Thank you Neville, yes we can rant but it relieves our minds but does not do anything about the situation.

It is about power and greed and showing that you can do what you want and no one can stop you. Man’s inhumanity against man.

          Very true Rozina, very true.

          'for every flower, we witness
          in our lives
          we must first, eradicate
          a field of weeds
          knowing, all along
          those weeds will return
          with twice the gluttonous, greed
          and that flower will wilt
          far, too soon
          but
          in our heart, that scene
          in Spring
          of a budding goodness
          achieving its blossom
          will outlast
          all the weeds, of life
          we've had to overcome...'
(''Beauty is truth, truth beauty,--that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.")

Or (and thinking about a certain current warring 'leader') somebody assasinates them to steal their power.

My heart goes out to the innocents living in peace but this day know they are facing likely death at the hands of russian armed forces.

            • Goldfinch60

Will we ever have peace in our world - I cannot see it happening in our lifetime d a.

As simple as it sounds, power is more than most people can handle, It has more power over us than we have over it and we never realize until time has passed over our misdeeds into our consequences.

Very true PPD, thank you for your comments.

                  The anguish inside
                  Can’t be held longer inside
                  Justified is the mini rant
                  Giving it lines

We do seem to diminish our humanity with every act of violence, selfishness, greed. And yet there are those who continue to point the way to our salvation. Maybe some day we'll listen. Thank you for summing it up so well!

                    • Goldfinch60

Thank you for your comments Bella, it may happen one day but I do not think that I will see it as my time of life.
